Bio: Eirik is a seasoned veteran of stage and studio, with wide-ranging influences and varied styles. Having spent his formative years as a "lead-oriented" bassist, he has distilled his melodic tendencies into an aggressive style that's bursting with heavy grooves and growling tones, sitting squarely in the "hip pocket."
Interesting Facts: Eirik is a self-taught musician, and played several instruments in his youth, starting with drums and percussion and moving on to violin, cello, piano and guitar, before settling on bass guitar. As a child he knew it was his calling to be a musician, and he drove his parents to distraction banging on everything in the house with sticks. But he was unschooled in the rudiments, and gave up being a drummer after auditioning for his middle school marching band when the director said, "That's great--now what instrument are you REALLY trying out for?"
